  a warming expierence...a heartfelt morning of worship

  I had a horrible experience in this church based upon a lie a parishioner spread about my sexuality. I am a male heterosexual, in my 60s. A person who apparently took a visceral dislike to me but didn't have the nerve to confront me told the pastor, who is a pretty gullible person, that I had made an inappropriate suggestion to him. My accuser never had the nerve to face me. He told the pastor and the pastor took his word for it and actually suggested that I leave the church or face a beating. This is a Christian church. This is a beautiful building. There are some lovely parishioners in the congregation. But my experience was horrendous. I was actually escorted out the back door. My accuser, an older man emotional problems, was never questioned. And he never spoke to me.
